On January 1, 2013 Preferred Residential went live with new technology that brings a number of tools to our owners and tenants that will help them be more connected to their properties. Now owners of properties we manage can access their documents, data and financial statements online, any time.
There are 25 reports available to owners which is probably more than most owners will ever use but the level of available information is fantastic and it’s all just a couple clicks away. Owners can download and/or print any of the statements seen in this screen shot.
Keeping track of documents can be a pain. Now our owners no longer have to wonder if they printed out last month’s statement and put it in a filing cabinet or some obscure folder on their hard drive. If you have a question about when a lease expires on one of your properties you can easily look it up. You can also review your property management agreement and any other documents associated with your property.
Owners can submit requests directly to us through this system. Requests can be for repairs or just to communicate a concern. While most of us would probably just pick up the phone or send an email the great thing about communicating through this system is that it ties that communication directly to the property in question and keeps it there for future reference. Requests made by tenants regarding your property are also available for viewing by owners.
Below you can see an example of the financial information available. Individual properties can be expanded or collapsed. Dates can be changed from the most recent month to last quarter or last year. The numbers in blue can be clicked to see when the income was received or the payment was made and who it came from or was paid to.
